ROOSEVELTE ON THE ISSUE OF THE ECONOMY

Promoting Paid Internships and Apprenticeships:

I am running for State Representative, because I strongly believe in the need for legislation that promotes the availability of paid internships and pathways for apprenticeships across our state. With the COVID-19 pandemic exacerbating workforce voids, it is crucial that we provide opportunities for individuals to gain valuable experience and skills in various fields, from healthcare to welding to teaching. By focusing on paid internships and apprenticeships, we can help bridge the gap between education and employment, ensuring a brighter future for our workforce.

Tackling Financial Challenges:

Achieving the necessary credentials for high-demand roles often comes with financial challenges that can hinder individuals' progress. I recognize that student loan debt, limited savings, and barriers to housing opportunities can pose significant obstacles. As your representative, I am committed to addressing these financial impacts and finding practical solutions.

Taking Action:

I will work alongside a bipartisan group of legislators to establish a framework for economic incentives that encourage businesses and corporations to support our workforce. Specifically, we will explore options such as assistance with student loan payments, subsidies for relocation to high-need or high-impact areas, and incentives for further education attainment. By collaborating across party lines, we can create meaningful policies that benefit both individuals seeking employment and businesses looking to invest in their workforce.

Together, we can build a robust economy that provides opportunities for all Arkansans. Join our campaign today and let's work towards legislation that fosters economic growth, supports our workforce, and paves the way for a prosperous future.
