Addressing the Medicaid Enrollment Shortfall:

I am committed to continuing the Democratic efforts in addressing the Medicaid enrollment shortfall and finding solutions to remediate its impact. Access to affordable healthcare is a fundamental right, and we believe that no Arkansan should be left behind due to inadequate Medicaid enrollment.

 

Tackling Healthcare Deserts:

Identifying healthcare deserts is crucial to ensure that every Arkansan has access to quality healthcare services. As your State Representative, I will collaborate with state-sponsored agencies and groups to host health fairs, resource pop-ups, and intentional education opportunities. By bringing healthcare resources directly to underserved communities, we can bridge the gap and improve the well-being of all our constituents.

 

Supporting HBCUs and Expanding Education:

I strongly advocate for the resource and continued funding alignment to our state's Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). These institutions play a vital role in providing quality education and opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, I will work to find pathways for implementing the education and training received at the Philander Smith College Jocelyn Elders School of Allied and Public Health and the Arkansas Baptist College Community Health Center. By investing in education and fostering partnerships, we can empower our students and strengthen our healthcare workforce.
